Predictions for St. Anne’s 57th annual Flag Football game

Tensions are mounting in preparation for St. Anne’s 57th straight Flag Football game this upcoming weekend.

The annual match features heavy competition as the winning team gets a beer keg paid for with parish funds. The Catholic Men’s Fellowship typically dominates the competition, but the Knights of Columbus/Young Adult Ministry team is looking to make a statement with a rare win. And with the spread just released from the Diocesan Treasury, hundreds are weighing the odds to try to place a winning bet this year.

Fortunately, The Daily Inquisition has broken down the percentages and gives our annual moves and predictions for the game!

  • 80.1%– the percentage that Catholic Men’s Fellowship beats the spread. CMF has been given a wide spread again this year at -15.0, but we think they will cover. Last year they put up 56 against the Knights of Columbus, and they haven’t lost much talent.
  • 78.3%– the chance that Ralph tears his meniscus again, even though his wife warned him he shouldn’t be playing at his age
  • 23.8%– the odds that Youth Minister Darryl touches the ball a single time
  • 10.4%– the percentage of the potluck that will be edible
  • 68.6%– the percentage of the potluck that spectators will eat
  • 0.03%– the chance that the pastor shows up at any point during the game

There you have it! The Daily Inquisition’s iron-lock predictions to help you make the perfect move.

And be sure to catch the game live at the big field in St. Anne Parish’s lower lot. Kickoff is at noon!
