Amazon Prime is set to release The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (LOTR:ROP) September 2, but we at The Daily Inquisition have got the sneak-peak scoop for all of you fans.
And let me just say—WOW!
As I sat in a crowded theatre sporting the free LOTR:ROP t-shirt, hat, sunglasses, popcorn bucket, and iPhone Amazon gave me for agreeing to review the show, I was overwhelmed with positive emotion at the magnitude of the art I witnessed. I knew the second the first episode ended that I needed to write a glowing review of the series, not because of Amazon’s generous contributions to this publication but because of how awesome the show truly was.
True, Amazon executives came into my office the other day with literal sacks of cash with a big dollar sign on them, but that has NO bearing on the OBJECTIVE FACT that this is the greatest show I’ve ever seen, ever. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is the perfect succession to J.R.R. Tolkien work, no strings attached—and I’m not just talking about the strings on the new grand piano Amazon delivered to my house in exchange for writing this review.
This show really has everything we could ever want: action, comedy, romance, diversity, sex appeal, an Olympic sized swimming pool at the hotel block Amazon reserved for the press, it’s got it all! Trust us at The Daily Inquisition to give you the straight, unbiased answer here. Amazon really outdid themselves this time, and that’s not even considering the Gandalf-themed Lamborghini that showed up in my driveway last night.
Even Peter Jackson said he liked the show when we saw him on the side of the road yesterday! He told us, and I quote, “Yeah, it’s great. Now can I get a quarter for the bus or what?”
REDACTION: This article incorrectly attributed a quote about The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power to Peter Jackson. The editors later realized that was just a homeless man they passed on their way to work. Jackson’s agent clarified, “Thanks to Amazon’s generous donations, Mr. Jackson now has many quarters for the bus. And, on an unrelated note, he wants all his fans to watch The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power as soon as it premieres!”
