And just when you thought Hollywood couldn’t get any MORE woke.
We’ve already seen this play with The Little Mermaid and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves; but now it looks like even Jesus isn’t safe from liberal studio’s race-switching popular characters.
The most recent outrage comes from leaked photos from the set of Paramount’s upcoming action-thriller, Jesus of Nazareth: Back from the Dead. As many people feared, it looks like an Arab actor was cast as Jesus.
This is just another example of productions departing from the source material in an effort to advance “Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity” (D.I.E.). The Bible clearly states that Jesus’ face “became dazzling white,” (Luke 9:30ish), and I’m pretty sure somewhere it implies he liked raisins in potato salad.
Does that sound Arab to you?
Now, I’m not naive. I know lots of art depicting Jesus as European isn’t quite historically accurate. So to all the haters out there who will say I’m “racist” or “ignorant,” read a book. I’m not saying studios need to cast only white actors to play Jesus. Obviously.
But at least cast Italians!
